What Being a Nurse is Really Like

I am training to be a nurse and it’s been 4 months now since I have started university and about 2 months since I have been on placements and I am going to express how I feel about the whole situation.
First of all when I went into the placements I had an open mind and I was ready to give nursing a good go but each day I grow to dislike it more and more and I really do believe that it is one of the worst jobs ever. I am just going to go in on the affects it has had on my body and health. Nurses are busy caring for other people’s health whilst they’re healthy gets worse. My knees hurt it’s only been two months…I stretch every morning to try and easy the damage. My back is also feeling worse and that’s with the manual handling being done. Also I am not even registered but I am quite stressed out.

The staff are nice and I really like some of the patients. I think the ward that I am on is really good and compared to the other wards that I have been to, it’s up there with the best. But even though the patients are lovely and all that I still feel down every time I have to go back to the hospital, it’s like you are in school and sometimes you don’t want to go but you get used to it and you just get on with it because you know that in x amount of years you will move on to doing something better. But as a nurse this is it……you will be a nurse for many many years.

One thing that I can’t get out of my head that I am actually doing this for the rest of my life, is that all my hard work, getting A grades and sleepless nights was all in order to end up cleaning someone’s poop, cleaning balls and vags……Like really, I have stopped and thought to myself “God, was this really your plan for me?”

Moving on, on the ward I am on its 12 hour shifts day and night and day shifts are ok but when you get home you are tired and you sleep wake up in the morning and you are back. Nights are even worse because after you are done you are like do I go to sleep or eat breakfast and it’s not even healthy or good for your body. You wake up feeling out of place. Digestive system is ruined….Sleep patterns not going on.

Also, they say if you work 12 hour shifts you will get more days off…But in reality you will be tooooo tired to even feel that you are getting more days off because you’re day off you might be sleeping or catching up with the house work and the days will go so quickly and you are back at work. A lot of the nurses with children complain that they hardly ever see their children and family for days because they will be working.

You actually don’t have time to yourself, if you went to the gym, had a hobby, I don’t even have time to sleep how can I find time to read a book, I had to lose sleep to make time to go to the cinema, to socialise you have to suck in the pain to have a good time….Even time to write on here has been unknown...Work really does take over you’re entire life.

On the plus side why most people become nurses now is because of the job security to get a decent pay. But is it worth it….Is the money worth the back-pain the moments missed with the family and friends…..

I truly believe that nurses do a lot of work and they give up their lives to do the job they do but I am young and I still have dreams but if I am honest I don’t think nursing is for me because it’s a career choice, something you will do 30 or more years of your life and I would rather be with my children when I have them…..But it’s still a hard thing to decide to leave because of the unemployment going on at the moment.

At the moment I cannot see myself finishing the three years and graduating to become a nurse, I think I will try to finish this year and you never know something might happen and I will end up graduating but I am just thinking about my future at the moment and nursing is not looking to promising.

I thought I should share some of my experiences with anyone in my situation or thinking about being a nurse because of job security and the pay…..I would suggest you really think about it and even work as a health care assistant in a hospital for a few weeks to see what the nurses do….It’s not all rosy and wonderful as some people might think. But then again they are some people who genuinely enjoy being nurses and I think that’s fantastic.

Justin Bieber- Mistletoe Official Music Video Review

First of all I am not really a Bieber fan what so ever but I thought I would check out the video and to my surprise it wasn’t bad. The song is different from anything out now….His not doing dance/ techno, it’s not I need to shock everyone….or I need to put some message somehow it’s just a nice, sweet song. I also liked how the lyrics weren’t repetitive and they were actually good lyrics in the song.

Justin does also look grown in this video….he is not cute anymore but some might say his hot!!

The video was nice and it gives you that Christmas feeling, even though we are still in October but I am guessing in November and December we will be hearing this on the radio and on our television screens along with the usually Christmas hits that come back into the charts that time of the year.

Ohh, and it was sooo obvious that somehow he would get her that dress when she was looking at the window.

Peep the video below.

University Life, Tips, Advice and Experiences So Far

University is an experience I tell you. The first thing I will tell anyone going to university is really look into what the course will be about and if you are lucky enough to know someone who has done the course before ask them as many questions as you can because you will have to sit down in a class for 4 hours or more learning about it and if you are really not interested then you will find it very challenging.

I remember I applied through UCAS and then I had to interviews and the first interview that I went to was a university far away from home and everyone was very friendly and I liked the environment and after the interview I waited 5 minutes and then they told me I was in; if I got the grades. This doesn’t always happen, some people don’t even have to go to interviews and for my second interview in a University in my home town I had to wait for a couple months until I was told. I basically decided to go to the University away from home and have the full University experience and to also be able to be independent.

After you have chosen your University and the course and if like me you are away from home you might be scared, worried…..I was like that and I can still remember how I felt, it wasn’t good because I was moving to a new city with new people that I didn’t even know and living with people from all over.

Before going to University

My advice before you University is to do and send everything that they ask for as quickly as possible and also do your student finance quickly because when you start Uni, you will what that money to be there.

Packing
There are things that some people forgot so this list is things you might not think off:

• Hangers
• Washing basket
• Iron (Even though the uni says they have it, they didn’t provide one)
• Toaster (Check if you’re Uni provides one)
• All the wires for ipods, phones, radios or laptops (A must)
• Towels

Ok, you are in Uni now and you might be scared like I was. Also, for me it was probably worse because I had to move in a week early because of my course and there were only 4 people in the whole building and it was quite lonely but I went home that weekend and when I came back there were people and everyone is on their own and they want to make friends so most people will be up for a chat and you really do make friends quite easily.

Tip- I don’t know if this is for every University in England but for my University and others that I have heard about this is usually true. When looking at accommodation I would recommend going with the cheapest/ economy accommodation e.g. mine is 12 people sharing a 2 showers and two bathrooms and a kitchen.

STOP!!

I know what you are thinking 12 people, that’s too much and that’s what I said but firstly, with the showers, I could say I want to shower at any time of the day and I would get a shower because we all shower at different times as we all start and have our lectures during different times. Same with the toilet and there is a cleaner every day.

A great fact about sharing with 12 people or around there is after the first week or so you get to know each other and become really good friends and there are some people who bake cakes and we share quite nicely. Plus for those that like to party and get drunk in the economy or cheapest halls there are many parties and it is lively but if that’s not you’re seen you could socialise in the kitchen. Unlike in the ensuite/ fancy accommodation where there are 6 people sharing and don’t get me wrong people do get along but I know a lot people who only speak to one person and everyone else shuts themselves out and are distant. So you will end up quite lonely and isolated but with somewhat fancy furniture.

Plus a lot of people come from the ensuite accommodations at night to the economy/cheapest accommodations and more people in their second and third years of their course actually choose to come to the cheapest ones because material things are nice when you first see it but as I look at where I am staying I really got a good deal for my money and you save a lot of money as well. But all I am saying is when you are choosing your accommodation don’t just look at the packaging.

So far University has been good and you do get used to it and start to enjoy it and meet people that different from your usual circle. I thought I should share my experience because before I came here I was so worried but if you are hope this helps and it deffo gets better. Also it is a lot of fun but you also need to remember why you are there, for that education and qualification.

Awkward Season Finale Review

What a sad day, Just seen the season finale of the first season but the good news is there will be a second season.

((Spoiler alert if you haven't seen the finale))

Ok, I don't even know why I started watching the show I think maybe I saw an advert and I thought to try it out without really that much high hopes for it but it turned out to be really good and funny. Every episode there was a good ending that left you wanting to watch more.
The season finale was a double bill and the question on my mind and everyone else was who will she choose Jake or Matty. Me personally I like Matty more because their chemistry is perfect and his HOT. But Jake his is cute but what makes him good is he doesn't care what people think and he has saved Jenna a lot of times through this season. He is a nice guy unlike Matty who would avoid Jenna if everyone hated her.

Anyways, at the end of the episode she picks Jake and Matty is left sad about it all but I do think that she made the wrong decision because she really wants to be with Matty but his just been doing the wrong things I guess. Jake is the safety net I would say. But if you think about it, it would have been so predictable if she had picked Matty.

Also, the other story was about the letter and we finally found out that it was her mother who wrote it. I swear on one episode I actually thought it was her mother because she tries to act young and she wants Jenna to be the girl she was. Now Jenna knows who wrote the letter and it's a dead end because what can Jenna really going to do, sulk for a few days then she will move because at the end of the day it's her mother.

Hopes for next season, I think Matty will either find another girlfriend just to make Jenna jealous or he will fight for her. I don't think Jake and Jenna will last for more than 5 episodes or maybe someone else will be brought into the picture. Hmm. OH and I wonder how Jenna is going to tell Jake about her and Matty and how that will go down. Can't wait!

Overall, good first season, if you haven't seen Awkward, check it out. Also good season finale.

Rihanna We Found Love Single Review

I have listened to Rihanna's new single numerous times now and honestly I am not feeling this song at all. It is just a normal generic dance sound track, nothing really special or different from anything out there now.

I think this is just pure laziness because they repeat "we found in love in a hopeless place," like a million times and every time the song finishes I actually thought that was the only thing she had said throughout the entire song. The reason why I believe that these artists or their writers or even the producers now a days are lazy is because half of the lyrics are “we found love in a hopeless place,” there is no bridge in the song, then there is about three instrumental breaks were there is no singing. I am guessing there are about 45 to 60 seconds on the instrumentals on a song that is 3:36 minutes long. Is that even a song....and don’t get me wrong I love songs with instrumentals but three time though….come on now.

Also if this was Keisha or whoever I would like ok, next. But this is Rihanna and this is her 6th Album and to be honest from the first album to the last she has always changed it up and had been of a different class to most artists. Even loud was a good album, I liked "Only girl, What’s my name," and all the other songs but this song feels like it was meant to be on loud and me personally I thought she would change it up but I guess I was wrong.

I don't mind dance songs but at this moment they are so many and they all sound similar to me and We found love isn't special or different from anything I hear now which is disappointing to be honest. She has always delivered with her music and I hope this isn't the first time that I actually don't like her singles or album.

I do feel like it's rushed as well because her video for cheers has just been released and now this song is out. Most people won't probably realise that it's for a new album. But she has her crazy fans that will buy a million copies and request her song on the radio even if they don't like it but that's sad if I was an artist who had been given a voice like hers and a platform to make timeless music that will be listened to from England to China I would work really hard to make music that would touch peoples heart from all walks of life not just making music for the sake of making a sale. But that's what the music world has come to now. MONEY!!

Overall, I don't really like this single and it is fairly boring and disappointing but trust they will be people who will love this song and it will probably be another number 1 for Rihanna but I wish her well and will see.

Sean Paul - Got 2 Luv U Official Video Review

I have just seen the new video by Sean Paul called Got 2 Luv U Ft. Alexis Jordan. First of all I have been a big fan of Sean Paul when he came out with Like Glue, Get busy, temperature, Breath and so on. He was different and I think he was just being himself and he did music that had reggae and dancehall music but the songs just made you want to dance. He was amazing with slow songs aswell.

Now watching and listening to his new song I feel like his not being himself. The video in a posh hotel room/ nightclub that looks like it's in Vegas with loads of sparkles and girls who really can't dance on top of tables. The song is very catchy in the sense that they probably repeat got 2 luv like a billion times....Half or more of the song it's just got to love yeah...on repeat. The video was like a lot of videos now a days and that's why I think he felt the need to do what was being done now.

“I don't really care what people say, I don't really watch what they do.” - Like Glue

Sean Paul is nearly 40 years old and maybe he wants to keep up with the trend, which explains the silly Mohawk....even the single cover of a phone and the song name in texts…come on it’s like you're mother saying “innit”....then the dance/pop music and the ohh so common nightclub scene with girls dancing around.

Where is the originality, the creativity....Like his music used to have, even if he was talking about getting high...the videos where interesting, the dancing, the reggae feel and the music. He was different from what anyone else was doing. His songs were like you could listen to them ten years from now and you would love it still.

Overall, the song is average at best.

90210 Season 4 Premiere Review ((Spoiler Alert))

Yay, 90210 is back and I was so excited and happy. There were some questions left when the third season ended like is Naomi really pregnant? Are they going to get new actors and actresses? Are they going to axe anyone?

Spoiler Below if you haven't seen the Premiere

First things first it starts off with Naomi and Max in the doctors room and when their waiting for the results of the pregnancy Max is very supportive but then it's revealed that she is not pregnant Max REALLY shows his happiness a little too much and that hurts Naomi’s feelings which in result ends the relationship.

Naomi I am glad is still on the show and this episode she was mainly upset over Max and hunting out guys and there was this hate thing going on with a new guy called Austin and if it was the first season I would have been excited about this plot where they hate each other at the beginning and then somehow end up falling in love is overdone and not really original.

Moving on to Silver, Navid, Ade and Navid's sister. Honestly, I am not really a fan of Navid's sister I feel like that's a person who really didn't need to be added on...Silver and Ade story is nothing exciting, I guess. Silver still hates Ade for basically almost killing her but then some people say Silver shouldn't really act so innocent because she did go after her best friends boyfriend but if I was Silver I wouldn't forgive Ade and I would have checked my medication after Ade used the bathroom.

The Liam and Annie storyline was alright, Liam came out of nowhere, proposed and Annie said no because he didn't call or anything. Then he proposed again for the second time and this time it was a big thing in front of people, with fireworks the whole shebang but she said no and rightfully, I would have said no. But I think something happened to Liam when he was away and I can see him becoming an alcoholic later on in the series and then Annie maybe helping him find his way and then they get back together...but that’s just my guess I could be completely wrong. Oh, and he buys a shack.

Raj and Ivy nothing really happened, Raj is going through his chemo and Ivy is by his side, which I think is so sweet and you can really feel their love but it makes you think how far can they really go with that storyline...obviously they will have to have one or two episodes where they cry for Raj.

Dixon was like an extra who was there to join the scenes together, his not going college and he wants to be a musician or something along those lines...Good for him. College/University is not for everyone.

Teddy, what can I say, he was worried about telling his father his gay then at the end he phoned and told his father he was gay on a plane going to Where? Who knows...I just hope that they give Teddy storylines other than just coming out or accepting he was gay because we had a whole season last time of that and it was really interesting and you felt for him but I hope this season he gets more stories that are varied.

Overall, it wasn't great and I know their new writers and I don't know I was hoping for a bang and to be left excited for the premiere but I guess they were just transitioning from the high school setting to the real life, college life style, which I think is cool. But hopefully as the episodes carry on it will become more interesting.

I also do wonder at the end of this season will Silver and Navid be together?? Hmm, still glad 90210 is back.

Awkward New T.v Show Review

I have been watching this new television show which airs on MTV on Tuesdays and I have seen 9 episodes so far so this review will be based on that.

I tried out the show and from the very first episode I was hooked. The storyline is good basically from my understanding it's based in high school and about a girl who loses her virginity to a popular guy in summer camp and after they do the …………… he tells her he doesn't really want to be seen with her because she's not popular and his scared what people will say. Also people think she tried to kill herself but the story develops more and more in an interesting way. It's really funny but also sad because Jenna gets bullied and embarrassed so bad you just want to cry for her.

Jenna Hamilton
I like Jenna, she's not too good or too nice like they make other characters that you end up disliking her but somehow you relate and see a bit of yourself in her either as a person in high school or someone who has finished high school. You feel sorry for her and smile when she gets with Matty.

Matty McKibben
When I saw the first episode I recognised the face but it took me awhile to place it, he is from desperate housewives but somehow he seems really HOTT!! in this show. Me personally I want him to get with Jenna but not as a secret thing...I found it funny when she played games with him and he got jealous.

Jenna's parents
Ok, their history is they were teenage parents and the mum is really funny because she thinks she's still a teenager and she wants her daughter to be cool. I loved how they made the parents to act like that, very funny. Loved the scene when they were high and the one when they were talking about punishing Jenna.

Jake Rosati
He is the extra spice mixed in to make the show better. He is the sweet guy that is nice to her and somehow saves her when she's in trouble. I like him and it would be cool if he got with Jenna but I don't think she is interested at all and it would be interesting to see what will happen when he finds out that Jenna’s been with his best friend.

Sadie Saxton
O-M-G, they really make you hate her, she is horrible, nasty and mean but it is so ironic because she is fat and she feels horrible about it and I would feel sorry for her but at any chance she gets she is on Jenna like nothing else and all the pity you have goes. But on the real she is not as fat as they make her out to be on the show

Overall, from what I have seen I think it's a great show and if you haven't tried it, try it and see, you have nothing to lose and if you enjoy shows like 90210 or high school themed shows you will enjoy this one.

1 Month off and whats been going on

I haven’t posted in exactly one month, there are numerous reason’s as to why I haven’t one could be there really hasn’t been anything for me to post. Another could be I have been preparing for the big move to university, which now feels quite scary.

I will be moving to a new city, living with people I don’t even know yet and being independent. It’s all new but it’s life I guess. It’s funny though how I remember when I started applying to universities and then the interviews and yesterday I got my results and it all looks very positive. The next three years of my life are set. Weird when you actually think about it soon it will be over.

Also during this time I have been trying out some different creative things like drawing cartoons, writing poems and I started a short story. So I am going to motivate myself to carry that on and in time I will post some short stories on here.

Chantelle Houghton Says She's Infertile Because of Crash Diets and Bulimia

Chantelle Houston rose to fame when she entered and then won Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 and she became the first non-celebrity to win celebrity Big Brother. Her likeability was on top but as time went by and she started to crave the lime-light the sweet girl that people once voted for in celebrity big brother started to show that she would do anything and be with anyone to stay in the limelight and that in result saw her likeability go way down.

(I have censored the picture)

However, all that aside I do believe that no woman deserves to go through what she is going through, here’s her story:

Chantelle Houghton, winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, said doctors have informed her she will never be able to conceive naturally because of her extreme eating patterns.

Miss Houghton said: ‘I’ve punished my body, and now it’s punishing me. Ultimately it’s my fault. I hate myself and can never forgive myself.

‘Because of my obsession with food and my crash dieting when I had bulimia, I’ve ruined my chances of having a baby naturally.

‘All the time I was making myself sick, I was thinking: “Yes, I’m getting skinnier.” I thought I was winning, but I was losing. It’s cost me the chance of a family.’

We have been brain-washed to believe that the skinner the better and that’s where the problem is and it’s getting worse because it is affecting younger children the most even boys as well now a days.

Miss Houghton has told how she struggled with bulimia from the age of 14.
Pressure: Chantelle, seen here last month, says she was 'obsessed' with crash diets

Pressure: Chantelle, seen here last month, says she was 'obsessed' with crash diets

At one point, she revealed that she drank up to EIGHT 1.5 litre bottles of water a day to fill her stomach and that her periods once stopped for a year.

‘I have tried every diet there is, from body wraps and the Special K diet to just drinking water, but I know I have to eat healthily and go to the gym, because that’s the only thing that works.’

She added that, at her thinnest: ‘I was making myself sick a lot, so food was just coming straight back out of me. I was obsessed from the minute I woke up in the morning until the minute I went to bed.

‘I was constantly watching what I was eating.’

Many women have tried many crash diets to lose weight fast and the main reason we are tempted to try them is because of the images we see of slim/ slender bodies and we want that body instead of our own. But for most women and me we tend to usually give up….but there are some people who don’t and they go through a week, with only having water….. which is not healthy at all and very very bad for your body.

She said: ‘He told me that I’d never be able to conceive naturally. Dr Gorgy told me that I had low fertility and that if I wanted to have a baby, I’d have to have IVF.

He said that if I’d waited another three years, I would never be able to have children at all. I wouldn’t have any eggs left.’

Well, in a situation like this you will have to look at the positive side and that is that with the help of IVF and technology she can be able to give birth and have children. But this is such a great way to show the effects of crash dieting and bulimia or anorexia because no one ever thinks that it will happen to them….

She added: ‘I hope they’ll see what’s happened to me and realise what they’re doing – the long-term effects. I’m 27 and I can’t have children naturally. Being stick-thin – is it worth that?’

Disneyland Paris Resort Review

Came back from a holiday in Paris, France and for a day we visited the famous and well marketed Disneyland Paris Resort. We booked our tickets online and there was a 15% discount were you could visit both parks and so we went for that because it was the same price as visiting one park. So we went to Disneyland park and Walt Disney studios.

Disneyland Park

Our first venture was the Disneyland Park and when you get there is this big beautiful pink castle, it's massive and beautiful....perfect for taking pictures. Later on that day we found out that the building was actually a hotel. When you enter the park there are a lot of buildings...beautiful on the outside, you look in and it's shops selling Disney stuff. Throughout the park there were more shops than there were rides.

After 5 minutes walking then you will find some rides and the thing that I found quite annoying was that you don't know what you are queuing for, what the ride is like....in many UK theme parks you will actually see out in the open what the ride does but in Disneyland you don't. The first ride we queued for about 45 minutes and the ride was horrible, boring, not worth the time we waited....

We did a lot of walking and then we found a train, yay. But there was only one train and it went all around that park. So then we waited for about 20 minutes and at first we thought the train only comes to our spot and takes people around and comes back to that spot...then they all leave but when the train came a few people left and our thoughts were do these people want another go...But after going on we realised that the train stopped at 4 or 5 places in the park.

We went to other sections of the park, we went on a boat ride, which was alright but nothing special because it only went around in a circle....At that time we were all tired of the park so we looked at the map and thought take the train back to the entrance or walk....If we took the train we would have to wait but if we walked we could get lost, as we had been before. We chose the train as we were tired.

We waited for about 25minutes for the train then we went out of that park and got something to eat.

Walt Disney Studios

The first place we wanted to go on was the animation studios and the doors were open when we got in and there was a man speaking on a television screen, to us we were like is this it...then the doors opened and there were seats...it was like a cinema and on the screen it was a short clip showing all the cartoons, cartoon movies that Disney had ever made, Lion king, Mulan, cars...ect. Honestly, I could have gone on youtube and done the same thing, it wasn't anything new or of interest to me.

Then we went into another room and it was like a cinema but there was a man speaking...there were headphones were you could change the language...That was also quite boring....they tried to be funny but no one was laughing and the headphones were too loud so I just took them off. But when you got outside there was this drawing thing and we tried it out. The person teaches you how to draw Winnie the poo.

We went on a Toy story ride and the waiting time was about 15 minutes but I am assuming that was because the ride was quick and boring. We did see the Hollywood tower hotel but it had a waiting time of 45 minutes and we were tired, exhausted and the thought of waiting that long for something that went up and down no matter how high was just not going to happen.

I remember there a building which had captivating sign and label that would make you think that there was something interesting inside....So we said lets go in....I think we waited about 15/ 20 minutes outside...my feet were killing me...then the doors opened and the first thing I see is a women with a mic and we are like no, no,no....not again... It was obvious it was going to be another...oh, it was called special effects....probably another line of videos about Disney’s special effects) Luckily we quickly got out of there before the doors closed and we took some pictures on the throne and fake Hollywood sign, shh don't tell anyone.

I think, if you were going to go Paris, you cannot not go to Disneyland because it's advertised so amazingly and I give the Disney people that as they sure can advertise the hell out of their resort. But the reality of the place is it's not magic....you queue for x amount of time for any ride and their rides are not even that good. Their designs are good but the product is horrible....I would never ever go to Disney land Paris again even if they paid me...I don't mind queuing but at least a person should know what they are waiting for and even not they should have a good ride....I would rather have gone to many UK theme parks...their soooo much better than what I experienced that day.

Even the children didn't enjoy their time there....I am not trying to be discouraging but to be honest...If I had seen this maybe we wouldn't have gone or my hopes wouldn't have soooo high.

Reviews From Others

Worst amusement park ever.

If you're in France, this is the absolute last thing you should be wanting to do. Save your money and go to real castles, even if you have children.

- By England

This place was such a rip-off. I completely understand they need to make a buck or two, but this was beyond the pale. We went with 2x 8 year old boys and they were quite bored. The only decent rides that were there were a 40 minute wait. You have to be so patient as all the rides require a lengthy wait. They were too short for the main ride they wanted to go on. If you have deep pockets, this place is totally up your alley. Be totally prepared to keep putting your hand in your pocket all day long. The U.S. Disney theme parks are much better.

- By Ashley

We went to euro Disney while on a family holiday from Australia. All my daughter wanted to do for her birthday was to go to Disney. We went all 9 of us and were shocked at how terrible it was. Long delays many rides not even working ( which we weren't told as we paid) Smoking parents everywhere. Hands down the worst day of our European holiday. My sad little girl left after being on 2 dud rides quoting " Never go to Disney it ruins childhood dreams"

- By Kings

DON'T GO - especially in school holidays.
HUGE QUEUES - in 2 days got on 4 rides. Children could not cope with hour long queues - even the carousel had a queue of 25 minutes. Managed 1 queue for 45 minutes to meet a character. Missed half of the parade (couldn't see the dancers and characters) because didn't stake a pitch an hour before it started. Also queued to get in (despite having tickets), queued to get a buggy, queued for coffee, queued for toilets Etc.
FEW CHARACTERS - saw 1 character with an hour queue on first day. Had expected to see them everywhere.
I knew it would be a 'rip off', but wasn't prepared for how bad.

My husband and I recently returned from a long weekend in Paris. Since we were ahead of schedule, we thought we would catch some Euro Disney Magic! What we caught was very long lines, Fast Pass booths closed, several attractions closed, too many restaurants/cafes and too few attractions. The staff was terrible at loading attraction cars - normally, you line up and they try to fill all the seats, right? 20% of the cars that went by were empty. Also, in six hours, we did not see ONE charachter! It was unbelievable considering that it was so busy. At best, it was lousy. If you are an American, you will most likely hate it. Another poster said the entrance was beautiful, but it went downhill FAST after that. I agree.Europa Park in Germany is 10 X better.

Went last week with my 9 year old, 5 year old, husband and brother. Queued for over an hour for each ride, only to be told when we got near the front the rides had broken. Not even offered fast passes to get on them quicker the next time. The park was so busy we only managed to get on 8 rides between 5 of us in 4 days! The queue jumping with the French was terrible and everywhere you went was so expensive it stopped being enjoyable. We got told it would be great to book "breakfast in the park" at 8 am which entitled you to the park being exclusively for the people who booked to go there before it opened. What it didnt tell you was that the rides are not open till 10 am. which meant we had grumpy tired children the rest of the day for no reason! I have since been advised that Orlando is the best place to go for magic for the children (we spent the whole time trying to make it magical for the kids so all wasnt lost). Not a place we will ever return to again !

The theming of the park is excellent, but it was just so crowded that we could barely move. Queues for the bigger "thrill" rides were over an hour, and the fast-track option was sometimes offering a time of 2.5 hours later which (baring in mind you can only have one fast-track "open" at a time), is of little use.

There were also queues for toilets, food, drinks - everything in fact. We even had to queue up to leave the park.I expected a certain amount of queuing and crowding, but these were at completely unbearable levels and spoilt any enjoyment.

I also actually believe that other theme parks, such as Thorpe Park have a better range of rides for anyone over 10, although Disney wins on the theming.

You will be bitterly disappointed if you have had the luxury of going to Walt Disney World Florida. Disneyland Paris lacks the sparkle, magic, good rides and excellent customer services that the Americans are so good at. In the parade the eyes of Simba (Lion King) were broken - its just something you cant imagine happening at the Florida parks. The customer services was non-existent, in the USA the staff fall over themselves to help you, in Paris you cant find any staff to help you. Very disappointing, we wont be returning.

Would I recommend it?? Heck NOOOOO, Save your money and time. No but some people do enjoy it and some people don't we went with such HIGH hopes and expectations and were left feeling down about it. If you decide to go, we truelly hope you have a great time, everyone is different.

Franklin and Bash - New Tv Show Review

The new television show called Franklin and Bash aired this week on the UK TV channel E4 and prior to the airing there was a lot of promo and ads of the shows. So I thought I might as well try it since I saw a face that I recognised and it was Mark-Paul Harry Gosselaar.

I used to watch Saved by the bell when I was child and Zack Morris was one of my favourite characters in the show, oh the good times....lol.

Anyways, I watched the first episode and about the first 10 minutes it's a bit like "Is this it." Then it starts to get funny, silly and interesting. I was surprised at how much I liked it and that makes me think that they might have something good up their sleeves. I am open to watching any new shows but it has to grab my attention and has to be interesting in its own way.
This show was about two streetwise lawyers who take down a stuffy law firm then they are recruited by the head of the firm to bring new life to the work place.
My opinion- If you haven’t tried it, go for it you might be surprised….

Beyonce- 4 Album Review

RATE: ★★★★★
Songs: 13
Artist: Beyonce Knowles

So after seeing her Glastonbury performance and I liked some of her news songs so I thought I would go and buy her album “4.” So here is the review.

1) 1+1 – This song is a beautiful love song and I like it.

2) I care- I really like this song, it grows on you.

3) I miss you- Another good song, I really like her voice and the different ranges it goes into and the beat as well. Good song

4) Best thing I never had- One of my favourites because if you have ever had a crash and that person shut you down, you can so relate to this song because it was truly the best thing I never had. Also her voice sounds amazing and it’s a good to sing along to.

5)Party- This is probably my favourite or one of my favourite songs on this album, I love the slow jam/ 90’s Rnb kind of feel to it that it has…I have had this on reply for some time and it never gets old.

6) Rather die young- This is probably the worst song in the album for me, but that’s just me.

7) Start over- I like this song, I can relate to it and the lyrics and the messages on this is so strong like her voice on this song. Good song.

8) Love On top- This is also one of my favourite songs and I love it because it will make you dance, it’s such an upbeat, groovy, soulful song.

9) Countdown- Not really feeling this song, it’s upbeat but I don’t really like it. It has a bit of a reggae feel to it.

10) End of time- Probably the best dance track in this album in my opinion, love this song.

11) I was here- Best balled in this album hands down, it is really emotional but a good song as well.

12) Run this world (Girls)- Honestly this should not have been her first single because there are so many better songs in this album but it’s not a bad song, sometimes I find myself dancing to it.

All in all I would have to say it is an amazing album and to follow up I am Sasha fierce is very hard because that was an all-round great album but I really like the route that BeyoncĂ© took with this album because it’s not a pop/dance/techno album it’s more about ballads, Rnb and soul album. Also her voice and the lyrics are amazing and it’s a solid album that I feel I will still be listening to in ten years’ time, she really took a risk because the music now is about dance music and auto tune, which I think is horrible but people still buy it. It’s like she went back ten/ twenty years’ time and made a heartfelt/ meaningful and beautiful album, which is very rare.

Would I recommend it?? Yes, I would recommend it but if you are looking for dance/techno songs then this album is not for you…but otherwise GET IT.

Beyonce Headlining Glastonbury 2011 Review

Hate her or love her I feel like if anyone actually sat down and watched her perform they would have been blown away like I was. I would have to say this is her best performance ever.

There was some dancing which was on point through-out and she was wearing heels, like it's hard for some people to even walk in heels but she was dancing and everything for almost two hours. Also her singing was amazing, especially when she sang halo, 1+1 and the best I never had.

Now a days it's very rare to see a person actually sing live with a live band, without auto tune and is not lip-singing. It is very rare and also you could see the raw emotions and how energetic she was because I would be so tired but her drive, energy and passion was amazing and on top.

In my opinion she is the nearest performer to even touch what MJ was like. It was amazing because there were moments when you were like WOW. It was crazy.

One of my favourite moments:
