Georgia Davis is Britain’s fattest teen and I wanted to write about her story because it is so sad. I truly feel for her and I hope that someone is there to help her.
Georgia topped the scales 2 and half years ago as Britain’s fattest teen at age 15 and I remember reading about her and the prospects of her being put into care. After that she was sent to an American fat camp and when she came back home she was 16 years old and she had lost 15 stones…Now that’s a lot of weight. She now weighed 18stones and a lot of people were proud of her.
However, her story doesn’t end there now she weigh’s 40stones and 6 pounds at the age of 17. How can someone gain that much weight?
She is a yo-yo dieter and can you imagine Georgia exercising every single day and then all those times she wanted to eat those tasty junk food but she couldn’t and she worked and worked her hardest to lose all that weight but then she comes home and she is 15 stones lighter and unlike most people she gets some publicity and she’s like an inspiration for many people on their weight-loss journey.
But then what her life goes back to normal, hardly any exercise and all those cravings of crisps, fizzy drinks, pizza all junk foods comes back and she indulges twice as much because she was restricted to it for so long. Time goes by and guess what she gains the weight back twice as fast and plus some extras.
This is the cycle millions of women go through but not at this extreme scale but it’s the same principles….So What should she do, diet again, go through all of that again…just to end up in the same place…..I couldn’t do it.
I do believe that the mother is partly to blame for this; anyways that's another post to it's own…Let’s hope that the next time we see Georgia it is with good news.
