Before I Go To Sleep by S.J.Watson - Book Review

RATE:★★★★

I have just finished reading this book. I am in awe at how great this book is.

It's called before I go to Sleep and the basic concept about the book is of a woman called Christine and every time she goes to sleep she forgets everything that has happened that day and when she wakes up she thinks she is a child sometimes but in reality she's in her 50's. In this book she is slowly remembering her past in pieces and she is also being told something’s of her past and in a twisted way something’s are true and others might not be so true.

Every day she wakes up to man she does not remember but he tells her that he is her husband......

Pro's - I have never read anything like this. It's different and for me original and very well written. At the end of the book I felt like I understood Christine as a character and as a person. Like I was Christine.

The thing about this book was whatever you think will happen....it won't and it will make you love and hate certain characters at the same time. Then there is a twist that I never saw or even imagined to happen...but when it was revealed I was like "Oh my Gosh."

The idea was brilliant and the way it was sectioned off (will make sense to anyone who has read it) was perfect and the build-up to the ending was quite good.

Con's- I have read a few thrillers and they are fast paced from murders and kidnappings etc.....Where there are shocks and twists in every corner but this book has a slower pace...

Honestly, when I started reading the book...I was like is this it but I still wanted to carry on and read it....chapter after chapter until the massive twist and a brilliant ending. But for others it could be a slow book but I quite enjoyed the build-up.

Would I recommend it? Yes/ No ...........I think this is a Hate it or Love it kind of book and I love it.
