Delirium

This is my first dystopian book that I read and I am glad it was because I really enjoyed it. The story is about a girl who lives in a world were love is bad. Love is what destroyed the old world. So there is this whole thing that when you reach a certain age you have a test and then they will choice who best you will marry and you will have a surgery were they will make you not love or have emotions. (That’s what I can remember)

Pros- Of course there was a romance and not to spoil a lot she falls in love….shocker,lol. Anyways, she falls in love with Alex who doesn’t quite belong in the society and you see their relationship grow. What I loved about this book was that it was easy to read and get into to it. I could believe a world like that and I liked the characters as well.

Cons- I don’t know, I have read so many books after that I can’t quite remember the negatives but I can say that the ending was a bit lame because it was out of no-where and I have come to realise that I don’t like cliff-hangers in books, period. But apart from that it was a good read.

Would I recommend it??? Yes, if you like abit of love story and are into dystopian or supernatural books.

 (Some Spoilers)

The second book of the series was different and it went from the beginning when she was alone to the part when was back in the society. Then the events happen.

Pros – She falls in love with another guy, shocker….I liked that it happened because in the first book Alex was the teacher and taught her a lot of things and in the second book she had that role when she was with Julian. I have to say that I am swayed more towards Julian and I as a reader fell for him as Lena did. Which was sweet.

Con’s – Again I don’t really remember any con’s, I enjoyed the book and will be buying the third book when it comes out.

Would I recommend it?? If you read the first book, you can be the judge if you want to carry on.
